We have encountered and solved most issues that can occur with water coolers- be they plumbed or bottled coolers – there are a number of basic troubleshooting guides which we want shared with the world. Below are some troubleshooting steps you can try before calling us in.
Water Cooler Not Dispensing Water
Option 1 – Ensure that your water cooler is plugged in, and the main power is turned on. Also, check that the power cable at the back of the unit is firmly pushed in.
Option 2 – Double check that the switches on the back of the unit are turned on.
Option 3 – Try “restarting” your water cooler, by reducing the amount of water in the cooler and switch of the unit. Take the plug out of the wall socket and let it chill for 24 hours prior to switching it on again. Give the water temperature a few hours to adjust before dispensing the water. If the issue persists, contact us for assistance.
Option 4 – If you tried all the above troubleshooting steps but hot water isn’t being heated sufficiently, your dispenser may have faulty wiring. Contact a technician for assistance.
Option 5 – If room temperature water is coming out of the hot tap, it might be that your hot tank has scaled up and stopped working. But if cold water comes out, chances are that the hot tank has blown. If this is the case, rather call a technician or contact us for assistance.
Leaking Tap On Water Cooler
Option 1 – Check that the tap is tightly screwed on – it may need a slight twist to tighten it in place.
Option 2 – If the above didn’t work, the problem may be the spring or washer in the tap preventing it from closing properly. You will need to remove the bottle, drain the reservoir into a bucket, and call out an engineer to replace the tap.
